Prediction Method of the Boreability and Performance for Hard Rock TBM Tunnel

TBM boreability and performance prediction has always been a hot research topic. In this paper, taking one large diameter long tunnel excavated by gripper hard rock in Northeastern China as background, based on number of boring data site mono-factorial regression analysis the correlations among Field Penetration Index (FPI) geological parameters, multi-factorial correlation formula FPI with uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) mass integrity coefficient (Kv) was established. Furthermore, penetration (P) thrust (F) were given. And classification method surrounding proposed. Therefore, according to above formulae, boreability, calculations penetration, advance rate required thrust, can be performed, which provide theoretical for estimation prediction, specifications design well project planning duration-cost analysis.
